Linux isn't supported true but with some work it can work, though do to needing a patch for the kernel and some third party software But it doesn't really matter, I have proven that this very new error is an issue that that effects Chrome in all instance.
My guess is that that error has nothing to do with the hardware it's on, especially given that it started only four days ago. Chrome has been trying to faze out flash, so maybe they are trying to pass the video to html5 or something.
